New Yarns - Mar 14th 2013
We were excited to greet the box of Milla Mia which arrived today. It is a beautiful bouncy yarn in an amazing range of colours but is the first time I've decided to order a yarn because of the wonderful pattern support. Do come in a browse the beautiful childrens' books and see the brand new adult collections.
New qiviut yarns - Mar 1st 2013
New qiviut mixes have arrived. These are the qiviut yarns which have been mixed with cashmere, silk and baby alpaca to make them more affordable!!
Too Busy for news!! - Feb 9th 2013
Just realised that we have had no news on our website since December. This is because an awful lot has been happening.
Joyce went to New York visiting yarn shops and Christmas shopping.
Since we reopened on 2 January the shop has been a hive of frantic activity. Workshop booking was the main activity until our Annual sale.
If you missed it we have the next one around the 4 July when the shop will be 7 years old.
We've had lots of new arrivals including the exciting Atrctic qiviut. I've just ordered some more! We also had a huge box arrive from Adriafil full of lots of new shades of baby alpaca (Sierra andina) as well as some beautiul italian spun Cashmere.
Louisa Harding Fashion Show - Feb 9th 2013
We're very excited waiting for our latest Fashion Show at the guild in Bovey. Louisa Harding is comiong down to present her yarns and fashions to you all. We've also been promised lots of Noro garments for you to try on. If you haven't been to one of our 6 fashion shows then you are in for a treat.
The evening starts at 6.00pm with drinks and meet the designer at the guild. There is then a delicious sit down buffet meal. After the meal then our own customers model the clothes. After the fashion show then you are able to try on smples of garments.
The cost of the whole evening is £20.00. We don't make any profit. Any money left over goes to the Devon Air Ambulance. We normally hold a successful raffle to raise extra money for the Devon Air Ambulance with vouchers for Spin A yarn among the pries.
Christmas Opening Times - Dec 21st 2012

Spin a Yarn is closed over the Christmas Period from Sunday 23rd to January 2nd!
This includes online shopping so your orders will not be fullfilled until we're back from the holiday on the 2nd.

Late Night Shopping in Bovey Tracey! Friday 7 December until 8.30pm - Dec 7th 2012
We normally are the only shop opening late one day in December, but this time the whole town will be open and lively!
The Christmas lights are being lit on the tree, children are singing carols and shops are providing mulled wine and mince pies!
Do come along and make the whole evening a success!! We are open until 8.30pm!

Beautiful new yarns arrived on Friday but are not yet listed - Look out for the new Manos 4 ply silk blend and the Rowan Glamour!! - Oct 5th 2012
Exciting deliveries on Friday. A HUGE box arrived from Artesano containing the beautiful Manos silk blend 4 ply in a stunning array of shades and also the beautiful British wool chunky spun in Yorkshire in brilliant colours.
This box was was followed by the stunning kidsilk Glamour. Kidsilk Haze with sequins. If you love sparkly and fluffy yarn like I do Glamour is heaven!!

We're building up our online catalogue slowly so please be patient with us. Our aim is to get our entire stock online but, in the mean time, the products not yet available for click & buy are listed under Yarns > Manufacturer.
